As COVID-19 continues to impact communities, incidents targeting Asians and Asian-Americans have increased due to perceived blame of the virus's origin. Over 1,497 incidents of coronavirus discrimination have been reported via the CAA/A3PCON STOP AAPI HATE website from March 19 - April 15, 2020, with 16 incidents happening in the Sacramento/Yolo counties during that time period. Incidents have been reported to occur in school, businesses, public areas as well as on transit.
